Practical Horsemanship Clinics

A Kerry Kuhn Practical Horsemanship clinic offers you and your horse the opportunity to learn
hands-on directly with Kerry.  Each clinic is limited to 10 riders keeping the clinic itself on a
much more personal level.  The focus on all clinics is to develop a willing attitude in the horse
and rider.  A willing attitude is what allows us to make progress with our horses even if we make
mistakes from time to time.  “No one is perfect,” says Kerry.  “The more willing your horse is,
the more apt he is to forgive when you mess up or are inconsistent.  Horsemanship is always a
work in progress and our understanding of that fact makes us more willing and open to learn new
skills and techniques.

When you attend a Kerry Kuhn Clinic you can expect to work on skills such as developing a soft
feel, groundwork, body position (seat, legs, hands) and body position of the horse.  Each clinic is
unique, as the riders dictate how the clinic progresses giving you the opportunity to learn new
concepts with your horse but also see how others approach and resolve problems.
